About

Products as platform is a workshop and a framework designed within the doctaral research “The design of interactive products in the context of opens source practices” authored by Serena Cangiano and developed at Iuav University of Venice.

The workshop was presented for the first time at DIS14 Designing Interactive System Conference in Vancouver. Find here the article featured in the conference proceedings.

The hands-on edition of the workshop has been orgainzed at WeMake, Milan’s makerspace, with the title “Make things open”. Here some pictures and the documentation of the results (only in Italian version, English coming soon).

Short editions of the workshop and lectures about the framework have been given at Iuav University of Venice, within the doctoral program in Design Sciences, at University of Camerino, master program in Computational Design.

The framework is one of the resources featured in the DSI toolkit, a digital publication designed and developed within the project DSI4EU. Here the link to the web version of the toolkit.
